PM@Siemens - Project Management the Siemens Way
Project management is an essential pillar of Siemens' business. To improve Siemens' project management in a sustainable manner, Siemens has founded the world-wide initiative "PM@Siemens - Project Management the Siemens way".
The goal of PM@Siemens is to establish a unified project managment culture throughout the entire company, to provide managers with the appropriate instruments, and to give them the opportunity to become even better.
The Career Model PM@Siemens
The key figures of the project business are the project managers. To give them the opportunity to develop in accordance with their economic importance and responsibility, PM@Siemens developed together with Corporate Personnel the Career Model Project Management.
The requriements for the individual career steps are drawn up in the detailed Job Profiles.
Qualification in Project Management
Qualification programs have been developed for all the defined steps of the Career Model, the PM Learning Programs. They provide for the first time a comprehensive and career-oriented qualification, valid company-wide, for Siemens project managers. The PM Learning Program PM4 is a basic training for "project practitioners": project members and sub-project leaders.
The qualification measures are conceived and carried out by the Learning Campus, the company's internal partner for business learning.
